What Is a Smile Makeover?

A Digital Smile Makeover (DSM) is a comprehensive cosmetic treatment plan that combines multiple procedures — veneers, whitening, bonding, gum contouring and reshaping — to completely transform the appearance of your smile in a coordinated, aesthetic way.

What makes our approach unique is Digital Smile Design (DSD) technology. Before any treatment begins, we photograph and analyse your facial proportions, then digitally design your ideal smile. You see an accurate preview on screen — and approve it — before we proceed. There are no surprises.

Our cosmetic dentist Dr. Sherin Grace Babu personalises every makeover to complement your facial features, skin tone and personality — because a great smile isn't just about white teeth, it's about harmony.

Benefits of a Smile Makeover

See It Before You Get It

DSD technology lets you approve your smile digitally before any treatment begins — zero guesswork.

Natural-Looking Results

Custom-shaded E.max ceramics mimic natural enamel translucency — no "fake" or "over-white" Hollywood look unless you want it.

Long-Lasting Results

E.max porcelain veneers last 10–15+ years with proper care. A long-term investment in your confidence.

Multiple Issues, One Plan

Colour, shape, gaps and alignment are all addressed in a single coordinated treatment plan — no piecemeal fixes.

Minimally Invasive

Ultra-thin veneers require only 0.3–0.5mm of enamel removal — preserving as much natural tooth as possible.

Stain-Resistant Surface

Porcelain veneers are highly resistant to coffee, tea and wine stains compared to natural enamel.

Caring for Your New Smile

1
Brush Gently Twice DailyUse a non-abrasive toothpaste and a soft brush to protect the veneer surface and bonding.
2
Avoid Staining Foods InitiallyFor 48 hours after bonding, avoid coffee, tea, red wine and curries while the bonding cement fully cures.
3
Wear a Night Guard if GrindingBruxism can chip or fracture veneers. A custom night guard protects your investment while you sleep.
4
Avoid Biting Hard ObjectsDon't use veneered teeth to open packets, bite nails or chew ice — veneers are strong but not indestructible.
5
Regular Check-ups Every 6 MonthsProfessional cleaning and veneer checks ensure longevity and early detection of any issues.
6
Touch-Up Whitening if NeededIf natural teeth surrounding veneers discolour over time, targeted whitening restores the harmony of your smile.

Smile Makeover FAQs

Most smile makeovers require 2–4 visits over 2–4 weeks. A simple veneer set can be completed in 2 visits; a more comprehensive makeover involving multiple procedures may take up to 4 visits. DSD design is done at Visit 1 so you know the exact plan before committing.
Not unless you want them to! E.max ceramics are custom-shaded to match the natural translucency of your enamel. During the DSD process, you choose the shade that feels natural and confident for you — subtle or dramatic, the choice is yours.
The minimal tooth preparation is done under local anaesthesia and is completely painless. After the anaesthesia wears off, mild sensitivity for 24–48 hours is normal. Over-the-counter pain relief is usually sufficient.
Composite veneers are done chairside in one visit (no lab work) and are more affordable ( per tooth), but typically last 3–7 years. Porcelain (E.max) veneers are lab-fabricated, more durable, stain-resistant and last 10–15+ years. We'll recommend the right option based on your clinical situation and budget.
Because a thin layer of enamel is removed for porcelain veneers, they are considered a permanent procedure and must always be replaced (never left off). Composite veneers involve no enamel removal and can be removed. "No-prep" porcelain veneers are also available for suitable candidates with minimal natural reduction.
